What to Do at Drop-Off
Parents’ & Carers’ Routine
– Apply sunblock to your child or children before arriving at the Centre.
– Arrive and depart on time each visit.
– Sign your child or children in and out each visit.
– Apply masking tape with each child’s name to their clothing.
– Please greet a staff member at each visit and discuss your child’s or children’s individual needs, including nutritional requirements, rest, medication and toileting, with the Nurse.
– Each child’s food and drink containers should be clearly labelled with their name and locker number. For children with casual bookings, please check carefully as the locker number may have changed from a previous visit.
– All belongings should be clearly labelled.
Attendance Record
The attendance record must be signed on arrival and departure each visit. Children will only be released into the care of the adult who left them unless prior written arrangements have been made with staff.
Settling In
Bringing your child’s favourite toy can often help them to settle in. A small blanket is also helpful for little ones. Please ensure these are labelled so they can be returned.
Please visit TurraTots with your child before their first visit so they will find the environment familiar. The family’s positive attitude to the experience is vital. We recommend a short visit for the first booking. Sometimes it is better to leave quickly but return early and spend some time with your child then.
Telephone if you are concerned. Remember every child is an individual and reacts differently. Please speak to staff if you are worried or unsure of what to do.
Always say goodbye to your child when you leave.
