What to Wear to TurraTots
Clothing
Please dress your child in clothing that covers as much skin as possible, especially the shoulders and back. Shirts and dresses should be loose fitting and have collars and sleeves (no midriff or singlet tops).
Hat
Your child will also need a hat that provides good shade to the face, back of the neck, eyes and ears when in the sun, such as a broad-brimmed or bucket-style hat, or a legionnaire hat.
Footwear
Please ensure that your child is wearing shoes or sandals that are suitable for lots of active play. Wearing thongs or other footwear that can come loose or fall off easily can lead to unnecessary falls and injuries.
Sunscreen
From the beginning of August to the end of April, it is necessary for all children to have sunblock applied. It would be appreciated if your child could have sunscreen already applied at drop-off. Sunscreen is always available at the front counter. Cancer Council sunblock will be applied to all children at 1 pm. Please supply your child’s or children’s own sunblock if required and leave it with the Nurse at drop-off.
